Tear trough filler uses a soft hyaluronic acid (HA) gel to address the hollow that runs from the inner corner of the eye down towards the cheek. This hollow creates a shadowed appearance that can make you look tired regardless of how much sleep you've had. When filled carefully, it softens the transition between the lower eyelid and cheek, reducing the appearance of dark circles and that sunken look. It's one of the more technically demanding filler treatments, since the under-eye area is delicate and requires a skilled injector. Results are subtle and natural-looking when done well, lasting nine to eighteen months. Not suitable for everyone, particularly those with significant skin laxity in the area.
