Profhilo Before and After: What Results Look Like and When

Profhilo

Profhilo results show improved skin quality, hydration, and firmness rather than dramatic structural change. Most people see the full effect four to six weeks after their second session.

Profhilo is one of those treatments where the before and after can be genuinely surprising, but not in the way people sometimes expect. There’s no dramatic reshaping, no sudden volume. What you’re looking for is a change in skin quality: better hydration, improved firmness, a subtle glow that wasn’t there before. If you’re not looking for it, you might not notice it immediately. If you are, it can be a meaningful difference.

This post covers the full timeline, what the results actually look like, and what Profhilo Structura before and after looks like compared to the standard protocol.

Before treatment: what Profhilo is actually doing

To understand the results timeline, it helps to understand what Profhilo is doing under the skin. It’s not a filler. It doesn’t add volume in a specific area. Instead, a high concentration of hyaluronic acid (HA) spreads through the tissue and stimulates your skin’s own collagen and elastin production. The improvement comes from your skin rebuilding itself, which takes time.

The standard protocol is two sessions, four weeks apart. Most people see gradual improvement after the first session, with the full effect visible four to six weeks after the second.

After session one: subtle early changes

In the first week after your initial Profhilo session, there may be some minor swelling or small bumps at the injection points. These are temporary and usually settle within 24 to 48 hours.

After around one week, some people notice the skin feels more hydrated. It’s a texture change rather than a visual one at this stage. The skin may feel more supple or less tight, particularly first thing in the morning.

By weeks two to four, before the second session, some early visual improvement can appear. Skin looks slightly more plump and even. Fine lines may appear a little softer. But this is the beginning of the process, not the result.

After session two: the results build

The second session takes place four weeks after the first. After this, the collagen and elastin stimulation that began with session one continues to develop.

At one to two weeks post second session, most people notice a clearer difference in skin quality. Hydration is visibly improved. There’s often a brightness or freshness to the skin that wasn’t there before.

At four to six weeks post second session, this is typically when the full result is visible. Skin is noticeably firmer, better hydrated, and more even in tone and texture. Fine lines look softer. The overall effect is a more rested, healthier version of your skin rather than a structural change to your features.

What Profhilo results are, and what they’re not

This is worth being direct about. Profhilo before and after photos can look impressive, but the change is in quality rather than structure. You will not look dramatically different. Your features won’t change. What you’ll likely see is:

  • Skin that looks and feels more hydrated
  • Improved firmness, particularly in areas prone to laxity like the cheeks and jawline
  • A reduction in the crepiness or dullness that often comes with age or dehydration
  • Fine lines appearing softer, particularly the superficial ones caused by dehydration

If you’re looking for significant volume restoration or structural lifting, Profhilo isn’t the right tool for that. Sculptra, Radiesse, or traditional fillers would be more appropriate. Profhilo is a skin quality treatment, and the best candidates are those whose primary concern is exactly that.

Profhilo Structura before and after

Profhilo Structura is a newer formulation designed specifically for areas with skin laxity rather than just hydration. It’s thicker than standard Profhilo and is injected at different points, typically the cheeks and jawline, to provide some structural support alongside the skin remodelling effect.

Results from Profhilo Structura tend to show more visible lifting and firming than the standard formula, particularly in the mid-face. The timeline is similar: gradual improvement after each session, with the full result visible four to six weeks after the second treatment. The two products are sometimes used together, with Structura addressing laxity and standard Profhilo improving overall skin quality.

How long do Profhilo results last?

Results typically last around six to nine months, after which the stimulated collagen and elastin gradually breaks down and the skin returns toward its pre-treatment state. Most people choose to maintain results with a single top-up session around this point rather than repeating the full two-session protocol each time.

Over multiple treatment cycles, some people find the baseline quality of their skin improves, as repeated collagen stimulation has a cumulative effect.

What to look for in Profhilo before and after photos

Profhilo results are subtle by nature, which means before and after photos require some scrutiny. Look for:

  • Consistent lighting and angle between the two images
  • A stated timeframe, ideally at least six weeks after the second session
  • Changes in skin texture and glow rather than structural volume shifts
  • Photos from a practitioner’s own clients rather than brand marketing material

If the before and after shows dramatic volume changes, it’s likely not Profhilo alone, or the photos aren’t representative.
